When lessons resonate with me, they get woven into me. Movement, yoga, books, seminars, art, music, meditation are coded and the new lens for how I communicate, lead classes, and ask questions.
I’ve known for a very long time that I’m supposed to work with the body. In every twist and turn and mini life crisis, the one thing I can’t set down is “I have to work with the body.”
Teaching yoga since 2016 has given me the groundwork to lead, speak, and live from the heart. I launched into self discovery, a consistent personal practice of movement and meditation, a role as manager, workshop facilitator, teacher trainer, and everything else that’s required to operate a small business.
Driven by a passion to work with and through the body, I discovered a new sense of excitement, fulfillment, and curiosity in working with people who didn’t look, move, or think like me. Classes with elementary children, parents, athletes, and seniors at the end of life sparked a resonant feeling “yes, this feels right.” And so I stepped in further.
Now, I dedicate my study to information on the brain, integrative movement, yoga teachings, pathways to healing, and rituals that can be applied to the student(s) relative to their stage of life, their current chapter, and even what they had for breakfast.
I am so eager to combine the dynamic layers of my background- from making my own triathlon courses in middle school to the flow and grace of ballet, to the depth and nourishment of journaling, and of course the familiarity of movement on a mat.
Moving with me will offer you a chance to get still, clear the path to the center, find new footing, and move upward & inward,
with love and sincerity, Maggie
