Training & Experience

Training: Baptiste Yoga Institute Level 1 & 2, Shakti Yoga University 200hr, Soul Yoga Therapy training in yoga therapy for the nervous system, yoga therapy for stress and pain, yoga therapy for memory and habit, yoga therapy for senses & sound healing, Soul Yoga Therapy abdominal muscles & core strength. Maggie is currently enrolled in Functional Movement Systems Level One course. She will be earning a Functional Medicine Health Coach certification beginning September 2023.

Experience: Maggie has taught 2,500+ classes ranging from power to yin to restorative, has co-led five 200HR teacher trainings in power yoga, taught kids’ yoga, chair yoga for seniors with limited physical or cognitive ability, and has lead countless workshops on anatomy and alignment. She currently collaborates with Emily Unwin to host 300hr trainings through Beginner’s Mind Yoga School. She is the previous studio manager and lead instructor at Shakti Power Yoga, and has over 160 five star reviews. She is the former resident yoga teacher at the Public Run Club, offering classes geared to runner mobility and strength training. Maggie has an intuitive and studied connection to the body that runs deep and is felt in every class.

Growth Pursuits: All things physiology. She has a passion for creating connections between a felt experience in the body to the practice in a way that is always evolving. She asks herself questions about efficient movement patterns, the science of awareness, and purpose of having a consistent movement practice. She is committed to being a catalyst in the evolution of fitness spaces by leaving behind diet culture harm, and she will foster a community of self-compassion, personal and collective evolution, and community empowerment.
